The Astros avoided arbitration with reliever Chris Devenski on Friday, settling on a $2 million salary for the 2020 season, according to a person with knowledge of the deal.

Both Cot’s Contracts and MLBTradeRumors projected Devenski to make $2 million this offseason  — his second as an arbitration-eligible player. Teams had until noon Friday to exchange figures with their arbitration-eligible players.

Devenski had a 4.83 ERA in 69 innings last season. He was included on Houston’s World Series roster, but left out of the two prior postseason bullpens.

Devenski is one of six arbitration-eligible Astros who could have their salaries determined Friday, joining George Springer, Carlos Correa, Roberto Osuna, Brad Peacock and Aledmys Diaz.

Those players who do not agree to terms on Friday will proceed to an arbitration hearing, which are usually held in February.
